-
Jo was born in Corowa in NSW and spent part of her childhood on her family property in Alpine Victoria before moving down to Melbourne.
-
Jo attended both Glen Iris Primary School and Sacre Coeur in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
-
Jo started with Net Set Go when she was really young but my first real netball experience was when she moved schools to Sacre Coeur and joined the netball team to make new friends.
-
Of course! Jo played tennis, did lots of dance lessons and competed in little athletics.
-
Jo played representative netball for Waverley District Netball Association before being selected for the Victorian state team in 2009. After graduating from school Jo moved to Canberra to go on scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport and from there played for the Australian U/21 team. At the end of 2013 after competing at the World Youth Cup, Jo joined the Melbourne Vixens.
-
After her second year with Vixens in 2015 and having received more consistent court time Jo was selected for the Australian Diamonds for the first time. This was for the 2015 Constellation Cup tour, post the World Cup in Sydney. Sometimes sport is all about timing and for Jo, lots of defenders had retired after this competition opening up a spot in the 12.

Yes, Jo has a beautiful dog Billie, an Australian Shepherd who is named after the tennis player Billie-Jean King.
